Location & directions to the luxury chalet

Totally private, and yet not far from the action; this would sum up the amazing location of the luxury chalet in Saalbach Hinterglemm at 1320 m quite well. The chalet stands in amongst the Kitzbühel Alps in the province of Salzburg, high above Saalbach Hinterglemm on the Zwölferkogel mountain, with wonderful views. Enjoy the wonderful tranquillity of nature. Idyllic and wildly romantic; the location is a real highlight in itself.

The Hasenauer family greets you as you check-in at the Hotel Unterschwarzachhof in Hinterglemm. Then, the choice is yours, you either drive your own car up to the Schmiedalm, or you can take advantage of our shuttle service. 

The Alm is about 2 km from the centre of Hinterglemm and is accessible by car. In winter, snow chains or four-wheel-drive are necessary. If you don’t wish to drive yourself, we can drive you up to the Alm in our hotel bus. Of course, a porter will be available to help you at your arrival and departure.

Be inspired by the nature of the Glemmtal Valley and views of the mountains and the peaks of the Hohe Tauern, at over 3000 m. If you like, you always have the option of dipping into the pulsating life in the resort of Saalbach Hinterglemm, just a few minutes’ (2 km) away. The Schmiedalm is easily reached by car both in summer and in winter (with a 4x4 or snow chains). If you don’t fancy driving yourself, then we can happily provide a shuttle service up to the Schmiedalm for you. Taxi companies can also chauffeur you up to the Schmiedalm at any time of the day or night.

In summer, Saalbach Hinterglemm is the ideal place to experience active and outdoor holidays with all the family.

Piste number 11 a on the Zwölferkogel takes you into the valley and is just a few metres from the chalet. This means you have direct access into the skiing pleasure offered by Austria’s most beautiful and largest ski area, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn.
